Samsung has started sending out invitations for the Unpacked event to be held in August for the much-awaited Note series device which was expected to be Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with rumors suggesting that Samsung will be skipping the “6” tag to even out with the Galaxy S series smartphones. The company has just confirmed that their latest Note series device will be called the Note 7 and not Note 6.
This will now put the numbering in the order matching the Galaxy S series and the upcoming iPhone 7 as well in September. This is the seventh model in the Note series launched by Samsung if you count in the Galaxy Note Edge which does not have the number, so all this makes sense. According to rumors, the Galaxy Note7 is expected to sport dual curved display which was something everyone are looking forward to.
Dual curved display with Stylus and the large display is going to make the Note 7 a class apart. With the rumored specifications of the Galaxy Note 7 being a 5.7-inch 2K Super AMOLED display powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC which is seen in the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe while the other variant will be powered by an Exynos 8893 processor. It is expected to come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants.
The camera is rumored to be 12MP rear camera with dual-LED flash while the front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter. The device is expected to sport a fingerprint sensor along with Iris scanner for added security which will be a first in any Samsung device.
The Fingerprint sensor will be in the Home button at the bottom of the display. It will be powered by a 3600mah battery. The Galaxy Note 7 will be launched on August 2nd at the Unpacked event. Stay tuned for more details about the Galaxy Note 7.
