Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 5 in India, after it was unveiled at the Unpacked event somtime back, and the device gets a price tag of Rs. 53900 for 32GB variant, and Rs. 59,900 for the 64GB variant. The devices will be available from September 20th.
The large phablet that comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution, has the design continued from the flagship Galaxy S6, having a glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Internally, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the octa-core 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset that clocks at 2.1 GHz, and along with that is 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. Check the entire Galaxy Note 5 specifications.
The Galaxy Note5 has a much improved S Pen, and the fast charging is not limited to the charger provided, but the fast charging on the device is supported with the wireless charger as well.
On the camera side, the 16-megapixel camera on the back of S6 is brought here as well, and on the front is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, both coming with a F/1.9 aperture. There is 4K video recording supported by the rear camera.
The Note5 comes with a feature called SideSync, which allows two devices to be connected and have the notes and files of the smartphone to be on the computer as well. Samsung is also offering Galaxy Gifts, a list of apps for free, including OneDrive storage of 100GB for two years.
A variant to this, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is already available for the price of Rs. 57900. It is similar to the Galaxy S6 Edge, with the larger screen and specs similar to what are in the Note 5. Check out the comparison of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4.
