QiKU is one of those companies which has come into the market recently but has made its point quite sharply with good figures. The company has just launched the Terra smartphone into the Indian market under Terra with two variants. These devices were launched in China couple of weeks back and have been an instant hit with 35,000 units being sold in just 8 seconds. QiKU had also launched the Luna and Note devices in China along with Terra series.
QiKU is a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad which is interesting being announced in August 26, 2015. The Terra 810 comes with a 6-inch QHD display having resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the Terra 808 sports a 6-inch Full HD display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The difference in the devices continues with the Terra 810 sporting a Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, whereas the Terra 808 comes with Snapdragon 808 with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Both the devices come with dual 13MP rear cameras having f/1.8 aperture along with dual tone LED flash, in this smartphone you can focus on any image after taking the picture with the dual camera set up. The front camera is a 8MP shooter.
Both the devices come with a Fingerprint sensor in the back, below the dual camera set up. The Terra 808 and 810 run on 360 OS operating system which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. There is said to be an unique security feature in the new Os which has not been see earlier and it is powered by a 3,700 mAh battery.
Both the devices come with USB Type-C port and will support fast charging option as well. Both the variants supports 4G LTE connectivity with dual SIM dual standby option. The QiKU Terra 808 and 810 will be mostly launched in India by the end of November 2015. The device was priced at $314 in China which is around Rs. 20,000 and the price must be similar to take the smartphone market by storm here.
