PepsiCo. has officially launched their first smartphone called the Pepsi Phone P1s in China after several leaks. The smartphone as mentioned earlier in the leaks sports a 5.5-inch fullHD display with 2.5D curved glass display having resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It was first rumored to be launched on October 20th, with today’s launch Pepsi has officially debuted into the smartphone market with not just one but two smartphones named Pepsi Phone P1 and Pepsi Phone P1s.
Both the devices come with similar appearance and almost similar specifications with some minor differences which we will be pointing out later on in the post. Both the devices sport the 5.5-inch Full HD display mentioned above and are powered by a MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card.
Both the devices measure 152.2 x 76.2 x 7.7 mm in dimensions and weighs 158 grams. Both sport a Fingerprint sensor in the back just below the camera module. The camera is a 13MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera which supports Video call as well. Both the Pepsi Phone P1 and P1s run on Dido OS 6.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

Both the devices come with Dual SIM support where the second SIM slot also acts as the microSD card reader. Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co., Ltd is the company which will be manufacturing the phone as Pepsi has licensed it branding. The only difference between the two devices is the connectivity option in the P1s with Unicom network support along with the regular 4G LTE support.
Both the devices will be available in three colors, Blue, Gold and Silver. The phones are limited to 1000 orders at a price of 699 Yuan which is approximately Rs. 7250 or US$110 and the next 1000 units will be available for 999 Yuan after which the devices will be available for 1299 Yuan. The discounted prices are through crowdfunding campaigns which started with that of jd.com, where the device was sold at 499 Yuan or Rs. 5,170 / US$ 78 which was an amazing price for this smartphone.
