Panasonic has unveiled a new smartphone, the Panasonic Eluga Ray 550 in New Delhi, on April 3. Eluga Ray 550 is the company’s first smartphone to feature a Big View Display, which is what Panasonic calls it’s 18:9 display. The phone comes equipped with Arbo, a virtual assistant, which is said to make tasks easier and simpler.
The Eluga Ray 550 comes with a 5.7” HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 720x1440p resolution. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6737H chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB using the dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The phone has 13 MP Autofocus camera paired with an LED flash on the back. The phone comes with an 8 MP front-facing camera with an LED flash. The phone should probably shoot videos up to a maximum resolution of 1080p, although it is still unknown.

The phone is powered by a 3250 mAh battery that is present under the metal back panel. The phone supports Bluetooth 4.1, 4G-LTE and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. The phone features Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient Light sensor, and Magnetometer. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also supports USB OTG function through the Micro USB port.
The phone features a virtual assistant Arbo, which uses artificial intelligence to track and learn your daily activity patterns and prompts you to do things according to your timings thereby. Panasonic says Arbo should make your life easier and simpler.

The phone will come in Blue, Black and Gold colors. The phone is priced at INR 8,999 and will be exclusively sold on Flipkart, from April 5th.
