Chinese Smartphone maker Oppo, today announced a new smartphone in the Neo series with the launch of Neo 7. The device is design oriented and comes with a mirror finished back giving it a great and classy appearance. The Neo 7 comes with a 5-inch qHD TFT display having 540×960 pixels resolution. Oppo had earlier launched the R7 smartphone in Dubai last week.
The Oppo Neo 7 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 and supported by 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage and supports expandable storage using microSD card up to 128GB. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 2.1 skin over it.
Update on 1st Nov 2015: The Oppo Neo 7 is now available in India, with the price tag of Rs. 9990.
The Oppo Neo 7 comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device is powered by a 2420mAh non-removable battery. It comes with dual-SIM card support having one Micro-SIM and another Nano-SIM. The device has the following connectivity features 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and GPS.

The Oppo Neo 7 boasts a feature which was seen in the latest iPhone 6S, the screen lights up to brighten selfies in low light condition thanks to the light-sensitive sensor which adjusts the screen brightness depending on the available light. The device is said to be launched in multiple markets across the globe including in India and US. The pricing and availability of the device is not yet announced by Oppo and we expect the pricing to be in the affordable category as the specs suggest the device to be launched to compete in the budget category.
