It seems Vivo isn’t the only brand that is concentrating on super selfies. After the Vivo V5 with the dual-lens front facing camera setup, now the other Chinese smartphone brand OPPO seems to be working on something similar, i.e. a smartphone having two lenses on the front, for bokeh effects in the selfies.
One of the stores in the Philippines already has an ad banner showing the back of one of the two phones that are expected to launch – the OPPO F3 and OPPO F3 Plus. Before this, it was the OPPO F1 and F1 Plus smartphones in the F series.
It is unclear whether both the upcoming smartphones are going to have the dual-selfie camera setup or like the Vivo series, only the Plus variant will have it. It could either be a similar combination having a 20-megapixel primary sensor, or a 16-megapixel one that was housed on the OPPO F1 Plus.
Given how OPPO has its devices packed with moderate specs even for a flagship, we expect to see the new phones coming with no better than the Snapdragon 625 chipset. But, we are talking too early and will have to wait for a word from the company to learn about the plans, and we might see the phone coming to the Indian market at least a month or two after the launch in the Chinese market.
