OnePlus X is the latest device by the company which is being talked about a lot with regular leaks about the device along with teases from OnePlus. according to this latest leak a poster image was posted on Weibo which reveals the design of the device from the front along with the launch date and pricing as well. The launch date shown in October 29th and is priced at 1699 Yuan which is approximately Rs. 17,500.
The specifications of the device has not been shown or mentioned in the image, but as seen in the earlier leaks the OnePlus X comes with a 5-inch Full HD display having resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The OnePlus X is said to measure 140 x 69 x 6.9mm in dimensions which is pretty sleek and looking at the 5-inch display it is going to be a choice for users who like smaller phones.
According to the TENAA listing the OnePlus X is said to be powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC which was used in OnePlus One, and rumors that it will be using a Helio X10 processor have been put down. It is supported by 3GB of RAM and will be coming with internal storage variants of 16/32GB with option to expand further using microSD card.
These are the specifications which are known till now, with the release of the image on Weibo the launch date, pricing and the look of the device is clear. The pricing seems to be like a deal breaker at Yuan 1699 or approximately Rs. 17,000 or $267 is in direct competition to the OnePlus One which is also available at a similar price. It is not clear whether the price is of the 16GB or the 32GB variant, nonetheless the pricing is high.
With the event date finalized on October 29th we can expect the exact specifications and pricing of the device then itself. Whether this device will be assembled in India is not clear, recently OnePlus has partnered with Foxconn to assemble smartphones in India. Hope this makes the availability issue easier and better compared to how it was for the OnePlus Two with the messed up invite system.
