The big news coming out today is that OnePlus is going to discontinue the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. However, for the Indians who are still looking to buy one can still buy the OP3 or OP3T through Amazon, OnePlus Store, and in Amazon Experience Store in Bangalore. Well, if you still don’t know, OnePlus’s latest flagship, the OnePlus 5 is on its way with Snapdragon 835 confirmed. And just yesterday, OnePlus has partnered with DxO in order to make the cameras do better.
OnePlus has moved onto OxygenOS after the CyanogenMod went down, and OxygenOS has been doing fine with its set of developers and the forum activities. After the company launched OnePlus 3 in June last year, the 3T took it over after its launch in November. So, the company has decided to stop producing any of the OnePlus 3 or 3T phones. You can only buy them until the stocks last. However, in India, OnePlus announced that the Indian users can still buy the handsets until later this year.
“The OnePlus 3T (both 64GB and 128GB variants) will continue to be available for purchase in India until later this year. OnePlus products and accessories are available through all three official sales channels, including oneplusstore.in, Amazon.in and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bangalore.”
As the OnePlus 3 was launched in June last year, you can expect the OnePlus 5 to be launched sometime around in the next month. Even though they are bringing the device down, they promise to give all the software updates possible for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. Either way, it won’t be a problem for the users until the strong custom ROMs community keeps porting many other ROMs.
If you wanna grab one, now’s the time. But it’s better if you can wait for a few weeks more and get the OnePlus 5 instead. Even the OnePlus 3T is not a bad deal either. Choose wisely whatever you are gonna buy.
