Another story to end a rumor that is flowing around. Or rather a few leaks that suggest that the OnePlus 5 is not going to have a headphone jack. These are all the leaks that show some cases of the device, which isn’t actually the final device so the leaks are all wrong.
Even we had earlier reported the same, but now that I have personally seen the phone, I can assure you that the OnePlus 5 is going to have the 3.5mm headset jack. A big deal for those who didn’t want to compromise and still have the traditional way of enjoying music from their smartphone.
It stays right in the bottom frame and has not changed its side. The earlier leaks were just fake prototypes made by someone not from the company and that had made us believe that OnePlus is following Apple and Moto in taking off the headphone jack but no, that’s not happening. Even the Moto Z2 Play has brought back that despite having a 6mm thin body.
What else do we know?
Check the video shared above where I had talked about a few important things that I could share about the OnePlus 5. Thankfully, things look so great even though the phone is going to face a critical reception due to the design resemblance to the iPhone 7 Plus on the back. The device feels great in the hand and the dual-lens camera that the company had teased is also real and is a combination similar to the one on the iPhone.
There was one tweet from Carl Pei, one of the co-founders of the company who asked “Why did the headphone jack cross the road?”

That did raise a lot of questions but the headphone jack stays at the same place where it was on the previous flagships, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. There’s nothing to worry about that because the basics are still there and you wouldn’t have to break a sweat about any such detail.
now that’s a big relief!!
