OnePlus 3 is not far from getting official, but we didn’t have to wait for that to happen to check out how the device looks like. And just like it was being said to be similar to HTC with the design, it indeed does with the back panel having a metallic build and the antenna lines adding to the similarity.
While sharing the picture, Evan Blass, the prolific leakster who gets it right most of the times said that the OnePlus 3 will have an AMOLED display and a 3000 mAh battery under the hood.
So, what’s different? There’s a USB Type-C port, well expected but hopefully, it should have the fast charging support as well. And a metallic design, not confirmed but looks like it. One of the founders also recently said that the design is going to see an overhaul so we might be looking at a metallic design for sure.
The little bump on the back camera and the connecting line between the camera module and the horizontal line from side to side make it very much similar to the HTC smartphones, but are we complaining?
HTC recently had released the HTC A10 that looked similar to the iPhone 6, but then, we expect a lot from the brands to innovate with the design, and when something new arrives, there are some compromises on some other aspects, so the design should not be something to focus on really until it is decent enough.
Also, with the back camera, there seems to be no laser autofocus. A curved body on the back is ensured, and it might be a single LED flash based on how it looks in the press render. Based on the earlier leaks, we are sure it will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and two variants that differ with the RAM and storage, and the camera combination could be a 16-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

While all this is said, take it with a pinch of salt. Even though Evan leaks stuff that is almost confirmed, we cannot always trust each of it. Are you happy with the design of OnePlus 3?

Looks like an HTC device with bottom portion from iPhone.
