Nokia’s Android smartphone lineup is building up already. After the first launch, i.e. of the Nokia 6 smartphone at the CES 2017 event in Las Vegas, the company is said to be prepping up for the launch of Nokia 8, its next and probably the flagship phone with top-end specifications under the tow. The most interesting part here is the presence of Qualcomm Snadpragon 835 processor to power the device.
HMD Global had already said that there will be quite a few phones that will launch this year and one or two should show an appearance at the biggest mobile event, the Mobile World Congress. Chances are that the Nokia 8 will launch at MWC 2017 event and there might be two variants of the same.
While not much is known about the screen size or the resolution, it is said that the Nokia 8 will have one variant powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and the other with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The higher-end variant will have 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB internal storage options. Another rumor is about the cameras, where it is said that a 24-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera will be provided.
One of the users had a few pictures shared on their Instagram profile, showing how the phone might look like, without any physical button on the front. The Nokia 8 might also be coming with the Carl Zeiss optics that have had a place in the earlier phones from the company too. Having said that, these can be taken with a pinch of salt as there is no confirmed news, so we need to wait for a month more to know if Nokia / HMD Global had something in plans for a high-end product.
