Nokia 6 is real, official and China exclusive. The new Nokia is finally bringing an Android device and the website has a teaser video with a tag line “The first Nokia smartphone powered by Android™. China exclusive.”
The video flaunts a metallic body with chamfered edges, and the Android-OS running Nokia 6 will have a fingerprint sensor on the front and the audio output is powered by Dolby Atmos technology. The exterior look also shows the MicroUSB connectivity. No more details are known, and since the device is exclusive to the Chinese market, the video is in its local language.
If the leaked specifications for the D1c earlier are true, the phone will run Android Nougat, and have 4GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage. The only problem for now is the China-exclusive tag and so, the international audience and fans will have to wait before they could get their hands on a Nokia Android phone.
UPDATE: Some specs are officially listed. We are updating with more details.
But then, Nokia showing off something officially indicates that the company has executed its plans on time and we will know more soon. Earlier, it was known that the company is going to have two or more Android smartphones in 2017, and we could see one officially at the Mobile World Congress event next month in Barcelona.
