HMD Global has officially announced the most affordable Android-based Nokia smartphone so far, the Nokia 2. This budget smartphone will have its battery as the talking point as it comes powered by a 4100 mAh battery as the company mentions that they are launching this phone for those who want to keep their phone active for the entire day.
Made with the single Block of 6000 series aluminium with Gorilla Glass 3 at the front, the Nokia 2 comes with a 5-inch HD LTPS display (1280 x 720 pixels) and under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Mobile Platform along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. As is the case with the other Android phones under Nokia brand, the Nokia 2 runs stock Android based Android Nougat OS and soon, the Android Oreo update will be available.
There is an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The Nokia 2 brings all the basic connectivity options and to keep the users connected through data network, there is 4G LTE and VoLTE support as well. The sensors given in the device include Ambient light sensor, accelerometer and e-compass. It will be available in both, single SIM and dual SIM options, and it will be the latter to be available in India.
The price is 99 Euros and the device will be available from November 2017. The price converts to around Rs. 7500, though the official price in India is yet to be known.
