The latest addition to the Nexus series, Nexus 5X and 6P are finally going to arrive in the country on 13th October. The company has already started to send out invites to media houses for the launch event. Although it hasn’t been mentioned that the company is going to launch the Nexus devices but the Android logo in the invite indicates towards the launch of these devices.
The devices were featured on the Play Store by mistake and the price tag on Nexus 5X was Rs. 31,900 whereas the Nexus 6P was listed for Rs. 39,999, both the prices were for the base models.
As of now, both the devices hold the ‘coming soon’ tag in Google Play Store.
Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2″ FHD display. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 which includes a 64bit architecture and has been coupled with 2GB of RAM.On the storage front, the device comes in two different models, 16GB and 32GB without Micro SD slot. As far as the optics are concerned, it comes with a 12.3MP camera along with laser auto-focus which is capable of shooting 4k videos. It has been priced at $379 in US which roughly translates to Rs. 25,000.
On the other hand, Nexus 6P comes with a 5.7″ AMOLED display which has a QHD resolution. It even sports Nexus Imprint which is a fingerprint sensor placed on the back. The device runs on Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. It comes with different storage variants; 32, 64 and 128GB but again there is now way to expand the storage. A 12.3MP camera can be found on the back along with dual LED flash and an 8MP camera on the front. The device is priced at $499 which translates to 32,800 in INR.
Both the devices got a mixed response till now and it would be really interesting to see where these devices will stand in the Indian Market. If you are looking to purchase these, check the features missing on the Nexus 5X and 6P.
