The San Francisco-based Nextbit has launched its first smartphone in India, the Nextbit Robin, which is claimed to be the “Cloud first” Android phone. The phone is launched exclusively on Flipkart, with the price tag of Rs. 19999, and it will be available from May 30th.
The Nextbit Robin comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and there is a 100 GB cloud storage on offer for buyers.
The phone also has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase-detection autofocus, Dual tone flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the side is also a fingerprint scanner for security, embedded under the power button. The front also has a dual stereo speaker system for the sound output with audio enhancements by Arkamys. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with the custom ROM by Nextbit.
The 2680 mAh battery in the phone supports quick charging technology and for the connectivity, apart from the standard options, there is NFC included as well. The Nextbit Robin supports 4G LTE connectivity with several bands supported. All of this is packed under a 7mm slim chassis.
The Smart Storage feature in the Nextbit Robin frees up space in the device by backing up apps and photos via. Wi-Fi whenever the phone is charging. When the phone is running on low space, the least used apps and content is archived. It just needs a tap later for restoring the content.
