After a whole lot of teasers, the World’s first shatterproof phone made by Motorola is officially launched in India. Named as the Moto X Force, the top-end smartphone has made its eay into the Indian market after being available in the western market already.
The Moto X Force uses Moto ShatterShield display technology that contains a total of five layers designed from materials that are made to absorb the shock produced on impact and the guarantee is about the screen not shattering.
Under the 5.4-inch Quad HD display, the Moto X Force has Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (octa-core with 2GHz clock speed), 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage, while the MicroSD card slot supports storage expansion of up to 2TB capacity. The phone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and Motorola is planning to upgrade this to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and we know Motorola is quite timely in sending OS updates to its smartphones.
The camera combination of the Moto X Force includes a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear shooter has a F/2.0 aperture and phase-detection autofocus, Dual LED dual-tone flash, and it can record 2K resolution videos. The front camera is also supported by an LED flash.
The 3760 mAh battery on the Moto X Force supports fast charging, and there is support for Wireless Charging as well with Qi / PMA technology. The battery is said to be getting a charge of about 13 hours of usage in just around 15 minutes of charge, using the Turbo charger included in the box.
The phone is coming in Black Ballistic Nylon variant, Grey Ballistic Nylon variant, and a White rubber one, so a total of six options. It will be available on Flipkart, Amazon India, Spice Hotspot, Croma and other partners in the coming days. There is a 4-year warranty on the display of the phone. The price is set at Rs. 49999 for 32GB variant, and Rs. 53999 for the 64GB variant. The Moto X Force will be available from February 8th.
