Lenovo has made the new Moto E phones official with the launch of the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus, priced from $129. If you take the pricing into consideration, you cannot now call this as a budget range series because the Moto E4 Plus is priced at $179, which is about Rs. 12000. Though, there is quite a lot offered by the company in these devices.
The Moto E4 has got a 5-inch HD display with the 2.5D glass and it has got the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 427 processor based on the market, and along with that is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. On the back is an 8-megapixel camera with the F/2.2 aperture, while on the front is a 5-megapixel camera with the F/2.2 aperture. While the rear camera has a LED flash support, even the front camera has a LED flash light. The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat and the presence of fingerprint sensor is also dependent on the network as the website notes “Fingerprint sensor included on unlocked moto e⁴ and moto e⁴ for Verizon and for U.S. Cellular.”
A removable 2800 mAh battery is provided in the device and a 5W/10W rapid charger is going to be given to support fast charging. The sensors supported are Vibration, Proximity, Light, Accelerometer, and Magnetometer (e-compass). The color options available are Licorice Black and Fine Gold.
The Moto E4 Plus on the other side is a bigger device with a 5.5-inch display having the HD resolution and 2.5D glass, and internally there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB storage options. While it is the same front-facing camera given on the Moto E4 Plus as it is on E4, the rear camera is a 13-megapixel one with F/2.0 aperture.
The sensors included in the device are Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light, Magnetometer (e-compass), and Fingerprint reader. One of the best things about the Plus variant is its 5000 mAh battery and this removable battery has the fast charging support with the 10W rapid charger. The color options offered are Iron Gray and Fine Gold.
Both the devices have a water-repellent coating so as to keep it safe from splashes or spills. Also, both the phones have a metal finish on the exterior. We are not told about the date of availability or launch in the market and which countries are going to see this getting launched.
There is not much difference between E4 & E4 plus in terms of specs, E4 Plus just having a bigger display. But the battery difference is huge between the two!! E4 could have at least 4000mAh of battery… 🙁
good looking budget devices from MOTO, could give a competition to Redmi 4A!!
