Motorola has officially launched the Moto E3 Power in India. The brand new smartphone features a massive 3500mAh battery and supports 4G along with VoLTE (Voice over LTE). The Lenovo-owned company will sell it exclusively at Flipkart for Rs.7999, starting from today midnight. The handset first went on sale in Hong Kong last month.
The Moto E3 Power is a mid-range device with decent specifications. It is a beefed up model of the Moto E3 or Moto E 3rd Generation. The latest launch somewhat comes as a surprise as Motorola was expected to unveil the original Moto E3 in India. The handset sports a 5-inch IPS LCD with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. It is an oleophobic coated screen and comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Design wise, the Moto E3 Power is similar to Motorola’s other budget offerings like the Moto G4 or Moto G4 Plus. The mobile features a polycarbonate body with a splash-proof coating. The latter will protect the device from accidental liquid damages.
Moving on to the internals, the latest smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6735P chip. The 64-bit quad-core processor features four Cortex A53 cores running at 1.0 GHz each. A single core Mali T720 GPU clocked at 550 MHz handles the graphics department. The newest Motorola smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage. This is pretty respectable for its price range and will provide seamless performance. There is also a dedicated micro SD card slot to take in up to 32 GB memory chips. Out of the box, the Moto E3 Power runs stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The latest handset comes with an 8 MP primary shooter with autofocus and LED flash. Sadly, it can’t record Full HD 1080p videos and is restricted to 720p at 30 fps. It does support additional features like HDR and panorama. The front of the Moto E3 Power houses a 5 MP selfie unit.
The dual SIM 4G enabled smartphones comes with built-in VoLTE capability and support all the 4G frequencies in the country. General connectivity options like the Wi-Fi, GPS (with A-GPS), GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.0 and even an FM Radio are present in the Moto E3 Power. A phone uses a micro-USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.
One of the most exceptional features of the Moto E3 Power is its abundant battery life. A large 3500mAh Lithium-ion cell juices up the smartphone. Lenovo has also equipped the handset with some 10 Watt fast charging technology which claims to provide 5 hours’ worth battery back-up with just 15 minutes of charging.
As of now only the black colored version of the Moto E3 power will go on sale at Flipkart for Rs.7999. The phone will come with multiple launch offers like a free 32 GB micro SD card, zero cost EMI plans, two years’ free storage at Google Photos, a concession on Moto Pulse Headphones, a Rs.800 discount for SBI card owners and an exchange offer. The smartphone is officially eligible for Reliance Jio Welcome Offer.
