Micromax Mobiles have launched the Vdeo 5 smartphone in India in the Vdeo series in which the Indian brand has already launched Vdeo 1, Vdeo 2, Vdeo 3, and Vdeo 4. The Vdeo series comes with Google’s Video calling app’ Duo pre-installed keeping its focus on the video calling feature. The new Vdeo 5 was earlier listed on the company’s e-commerce site; the listing reveals the specifications and the price of the device. The Micromax Vdeo 5 is priced at Rs.6,749 and will be available in Gold and Black Grey colors.
The Vdeo 5 sports a 5.5-inches HD (1280 X 720) IPS display and is powered by the Spreadtrum SC9832 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
Moving onto the camera department, it has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, autofocus and can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chats. Apps like beauty plus me, Uber, Vuliv, Gaana, UDIO, Opera Max come pre-installed and the Around Me feature that was seen on YU smartphone (a sub-brand of Micromax) is on board as Micromax Around. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, microUSB port. A 3000mAh battery. Micromax is said to be offering Jio SIM along with the Vdeo smartphones in India.
Though the device is listed on the Micromax India’s official website, it still isn’t available to purchase as the company didn’t make it available for sale, so we should expect that to happen very soon. So stay tuned for more details on the Micromax Vdeo 5’s availability.
