Micromax has added a new smartphone in the Unite lineup that has been doing quite well in the market, by launching the Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Plus, which comes with an all-metal body and a fingerprint sensor as well.
The phone has all to compete against the likes of Coolpad Note 3 Lite, Xiaomi Redmi 3s, and the Lenovo Vibe K5. The Unite 4 Plus comes with a 5-inch 720p display (1280 x 720 pixels), and it is powered by the MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocking at 1.1GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and there is a 16GB internal storage included along with a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.
The Unite 4 Plus comes with Indus OS 2.0, world’s first regional OS in 12 regional languages. As an addition to the earlier list of languages, the Indus 2.0 OS brings support for Urdu and Assamese as well. The OS also has App Bazaar, Indus-to-Indus free messaging services, Indus Swipe feature, text to speech technology and more. This new OS based on Android Marshmallow OS was first seen on the two earlier phones of Unite series, the Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro. The Text-to-Speech feature, allows users to translate English text into audio in any of the offered six Indian languages; Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Telugu.
The Unite 4 Plus has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 4G LTE connectivity apart from the other standard connectivity options. There’s a fingerprint scanner provided on the front of the device.
The company offers 7 day service or replacement warranty for its smartphones in the Unite 4 series. The sensors included in the device are a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and an accelerometer. The device is going to be available in the offline market for the price of Rs. 7999.
