Micromax has unveiled a big list of products today, including tablet devices, LED TVs, a bunch of smartphones, but the highlight is the flagship Canvas 6, and the Pro version of it.
At the event today in Delhi, the company categorized smartphones into different buying patterns, including 1st time smartphone buyers, online shoppers, lifestyle users, Large screen devices, Language users, and the mid-premium segment. The Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro come into the mid-premium segment.
The Canvas 6 comes into the new flagship range from Micromax. It comes with a Full HD display with the 5.5-inch screen size, and this is the first phone from Micromax to have a fingerprint scanner (located on the back of the device), and the first from the company to have a metal unibody design.
Internally, the device comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion, an octa-core processor. The device has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and the rear camera has a Phase detection autofocus and F/2.0 aperture.
The Canvas 6 Pro is the higher variant having 4GB RAM, Mediatek Helio X10 MT6795M processor with 64 bit architecture and the storage is 16GB. The phone has a 5.5-inch 2.5D display with 401 PPI pixel density. Interestingly, even though the camera on the back is the same, the Canvas 6 Pro has a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Both the phones come with a 3000 mAh battery.
