Micromax has launched their latest flagship smartphone, the Canvas 5 joining the popular Canvas series It comes with a 5.2-inch fullHD display having 2.5D curved screen with neat slim bezels. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB using microSD card.
The Canvas 5 is priced competitively with the specifications at offer, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera having Samsung 3M2 sensor along with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) which is said to bring the object into focus in just 0.2 seconds which is quite impressive. The front camera is a 5MP shooter having a selfie flash as well which allows you to take better selfies in poor lighting conditions.

The Canvas 5 will be available in two colors of Space Grey and Tan brown starting from Today. The Micromax Canvas 5 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and comes with double data offer for Airtel 4G customers for 3 months along with 7 day door step service policy. There is also a 12 month EMI scheme with Micromax tying up with Bajaj Finance with the customers required to pay four advance EMIs at the time of purchase.
With this competitive pricing the Canvas 5 will be competing in the already heavily competitive segment having the recent CoolPad Note 3 which sports the same chipset.
