Micromax Informatics has officially confirmed that the company is going to launch the first Android Go based smartphone, the Bharat GO that is said to be released by the end of the month. The Bharat Go is going to be launched with the Android Oreo Go version, which the Android makers describe as “the best of Android, built with new and reimagined apps, so even the most affordable Android smartphones are as sweet as can be.”
The smartphone will be available in the budget range and since Android Go is only for phones that have a low-end spec sheet, and yet the platform offers a good experience. The Micromax Bharat Go will be India’s first Android Oreo Go smartphone.
Backed by features for more storage, better performance, data saving, security and more, Android Go is yet to go mainstream as companies have been making decent budget range smartphones with the stock Android OS. For a phone running Android Oreo Go OS, it will have 2x amount of available storage when compared to a phone running Android Nougat OS, both having 8GB ROM. The features like “Find my Device”, security ones for scanning apps, are all built-in into the Android Go platform.
We will be updating with more details whenever they are available before the official launch of the device. The launch of the Bharat Go is scheduled for the end of the month.
