Meizu M6T with 5.7-inch 18:9 display, Dual cameras launched in China

After multiple leaks, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu, has announced their latest smartphone, Meizu M6T, in China. The new smartphone comes with an 18:9 display and a vertical dual camera setup on the back.

The Meizu M6T sports a 5.7 inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6750 chipset with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. It comes with either 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and with 32 GB, 64 GB of internal storage, respectively. There’s also room for storage expansion for up to 128 GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Flyme OS, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

For the cameras, the M6T comes with dual rear cameras. A 13 MP primary shooter with a F/2.2 lens on top and a 2 MP depth sensing secondary camera with an F/2.4 aperture. There’s also an LED flash on the back. To the front, there’s an 8 MP selfie camera which has an F/2.0 aperture and offers face unlock functionality as well.

The M6T comes with a 3300 mAh battery. The phone comes with a rear fingerprint scanner, alongside the facial recognition. For connectivity, the phone has 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microUSB port.

Pricing and Availability of Meizu M6T

The Meizu M6T comes in Red, Black and Gold colors.The phone is priced at CNY 799 (USD 124/ INR 8,445) for the 3GB RAM & 32 GB internal storage, while the 4 GB RAM, 32 GB storage variant would cost you CNY 999 (USD 155/ INR 10,559) and the 4 GB RAM & 64 GB internal storage model is priced at CNY 1,099 (USD 171/ INR 11,617). The phone is up for registration although the date of first sale is yet to be announced.
