LG has launched their latest smartphone, the LG X5 (2018), today, in South Korea. The smartphone comes as a successor to the last year’s LG X5. It features a massive 4500 mAh battery that supports fast charge. Recently, the Korean giant had launched their Q-series of smartphones, the LG Q7 & Q7+ in Korea.
The LG X5 (2018) sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD screen which has a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The phone still uses a traditional 16:9 screen. Powering the phone is a Mediatek 6750 chipset paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with LG UX on top.
The X5 (2018) comes with a 13 MP rear camera alongside the LED flash. To the front, the phone greets you with a 5 MP front-facing camera and a soft-light LED flash. The selfie camera uses a wide angle lens.
The battery underneath is a massive 4500 mAh affair with fast charging. For connectivity, the phone comes with 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB port.
For security, the phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone weighs 171 grams. The phone also has support for LG Pay, using which customers can pay for their purchases at compatible Point-of-Sale(PoS) machines.
Pricing and Availability of LG X5 (2018)
The LG X5 (2018) comes only in Moroccan Blue color. The phone is priced at KRW 363,000 (INR 22,363) and will be available on all the major carriers in South Korea.
