LG introduced the X-series with the launch of X-power last year, and today the company has launched the X Power2; its successor just ahead of the MWC 2017. It sports a relatively larger display at 5.5-inches. The X-power series keeps its focus on the battery department while giving enough power for day-to-day tasks as well.
LG X power2 Specifications:
The LG X Power2 sports a 5.5-inches HD(1280×720 pixels) In-cell Touch display and the Comfort View feature reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the display thus making it comfortable while reading e-books and other books. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor. It packs 1.5GB / 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory that is further expandable via a microSD card slot up to 2TB. The LG X Power2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.
In the camera department, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter with soft LED flash for better low-light selfies and video calls. Quick Share feature lets you share images to social media sites with just one tap. The Auto Shot automatically triggers the front camera’s shutter when a face is detected. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG. A 4500mAh non-removable battery with fast charging is on board.
The LG X power2 comes in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold and Shiny Blue colors and will be made available from March in the Latin America followed by key markets in the United States, Asia, Europe and other regions. The company said that it would reveal the pricing once it launches locally.
LG is also going to announce its next flagship, the LG G6 at MWC 2017 and the color variants are already known through the press renders leaked by Evan Blass on Twitter. Although we won’t see a big battery as seen here in the XPower 2, the LG G6 is said to be coming with a 5.7-inch display and a water resistant body, with a dual-lens camera setup on the back. Stay tuned for more information during the MWC 2017 event.
