LG has started the CES 2016 not with a bang, but by revealing their new K series of smartphones which come in the mid-range category. The two devices launched at CES were the K7 and K10 both of which are mi-rangers with regular specs and nothing out of the ordinary. The LG K7 sports a 5-inch display whereas the LG K10 sports a 5.3-inch HD display.
The LG K7 has a 5-inch display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and has 196 ppi along with 2.5D Arc Glass. It is powered by a 1.1GHz (LTE variant), 1.3GHz (3G variant) Quad-core processor which is coupled with 1GB and 1.5GB RAM along with internal storage of 8GB and 16GB based on the variants. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The K7 sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera, it is powered by a 2125mAh battery and measures 143.6 x 72.5 x 8.9mm (4G LTE) the 3G variant is slightly thicker at 9.05mm in dimensions. It comes with a different design having the glossy pebble-like appearance. It comes win only one color – Titan for the 4G LTe variant and White, black and Gold for the 3G variant.
The LG K10 sports a 5.2-inch In-cell Touch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and has 277ppi along with 2.5D Arc glass. It is powered by a 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz Quad-Core or 1.14GHz Octa-Core processor for the 4G LTE variant and a 1.3GHz Quad-core SoC for the 3G variant. It has 2GB/1.5GB and 1GB RAM variants along with 8GB and 16GB internal storage variants.
The LG K10 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 8MP or 5MP front facing camera for the 4G LTE variant, the 3G variant comes with 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 8MP or 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery. The device measures 146 x 74.8 x 8.8mm in dimensions. It comes in three colors of White, Indigo and Gold.
The pricing and availability of the LG K7 and K10 have not been revealed yet, the devices were unveiled at CES 2016. the design part is decent but the specs are quite ordinary we have to wait and see when LG will bring out their major updates like the foldable 18-inch OLED display, LG Super UHD 4K TV etc at CES.
