The LG G6 is coming very soon. The company itself has teased the phone with so many details that we know what to expect from it, but what LG has been hiding is the design part, which is being well covered by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter who has put up a press render of the upcoming flagship showing off the three color variants of the device.
It was earlier known that since Samsung had the control on the initial production of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets for the Galaxy S8, we are not seeing the new chip on the G6 and thus the flagship from LG will be powered by Snapdragon 821 processor, and LG in its teasers told that the phone will be IP68 certified.
There is a set of two cameras on the back, just like how it was on the LG G5 where the first one is the standard 16MP sensor and the secondary one has a wide-angle lens that comes to good use to take panoramic shots. LG has already mentioned that the phone will have a 5.7-inch QHD+ display with the new aspect ratio of 18:9, and the display could be bezel-less and the company also mentioned that the UI is going to be much different to take advantage of the new aspect ratio of the screen.
Here are the three colors as shown in the press render.
- Mystic White
- Astro Black
- Ice Platinum
LG is going to announce the LG G6 on February 26th at the press conference during Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona. The pre-orders could be starting in a week from the announcement, and this time, Samsung is not going to have the S8 in early and thus, a separate event and a different release date is set for the Samsung flagship.
