Lenovo is on a roll already as the year 2016 began, since we are looking at the second device getting launched in India. After the K4 Note that was recently launched, it is the flagship Lenovo Vibe X3 being officially launched at an event in New Delhi.
The Vibe X3 carries the similar design to the K4 Note, although the latter is codenamed as the Vibe X3 Lite and creates some confusion. The Lenovo Vibe X3 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Internally, the phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, a hexa-core 64bit chipset, 3GB RAM and there is 32GB internal storage, with a MicroSD card slot provided for storage expansion. On the camera aspect, the Vibe X3 has a 21-megapixel rear camera with F/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX230 sensor, Phase-detection autofocus, Dual-tone LED flash, and on the front will be an 8-megapixel camera with F/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can capture 4K videos.
The Vibe X3 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the Vibe UI layered over it. Thankfully, we are not seeing at the interface that was in 2015, but more like a stock Android OS that is enhanced and tweaked to add Lenovo’s touches. The company claims this to be the lightest and fastest UI ever from Lenovo. Enhancements like Micro Screen, Tap to Wake, Flip to sleep are a part of the UI.
There is a fingerprint sensor on the back, just below the camera, just like it is placed on the K4 Note. The device boasts dual front speakers with Dolby Atmos, Cirrus Logic Wolfson 8218 audio codec ES9018K2M DAC chip and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier for an enhanced audio output.
There is a 3500 mAh battery packed into the phone and a plethora of connectivity options are in place, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS and NFC. The thinnest point of the device is at the edge that slopes down from the 9.3mm thick center, to 3.4mm on the edge.
The device is priced at Rs. 19999 and it is going to be available exclusively on Amazon India from 28th January, 2 p.m.
