Lenovo has launched two variants of the Vibe X3 in China the successor of the Vibe X2 from last year. There are two variants of the Lenovo Vibe X3 being launched with the other variant being called as Vibe X3 Lite, also being called the Student edition which will be sporting inferior specs to the Vibe X3.
Both the devices will be looking similar from the outside and sport the same display, the internals are the difference between the two. Both the devices come with a 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla glass 3 protection. Let us look at the common specifications of both the devices, both come with Fingerprint sensor in the back of the device. They sport 3 Amplifiers for noise and echo cancellations as well as music playback. Both support 4G LTE and have Hybrid DualSIM slot. The Android version on which both the devices are running on has not been revealed.

Now coming to the differences, the regular Vibe X3 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage variants, expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. The Vibe X3 Lite variant comes with a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6753 Octa-Core Processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB using microSD card.

The Lenovo Vibe X3 sports a 21MP rear camera with Sony IMX230 Sensor, Phase detection Autofocus, 4K video recording and LED flash along with a 8MP front-facing camera. The Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera.

- RAM and Storage: 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB using microSD card
- Camera: 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera

- Removable back panel
The Vibe X3 runs on a slightly better 3600mAh battery whereas the vibe X3 Lite runs on 3400mAh battery. On the design front the only difference seen is with the placement of the flash, in the Vibe X3 it is placed between the camera and the fingerprint sensor, whereas in the Vibe X3 lite it is placed beside the camera module.
You can get your hands on any one of the variants in China as the pre-orders are up. The Vibe X3 64GB variant is priced at 2999 Yuan approximately US$ 470 or Rs. 31,000, the 32GB Vibe X3 variant will cost 2499 Yuan approximately Yuan 249 or US$ 390 or Rs. 25,800. The Vibe X3 Lite is priced at 1899 Yuan approximately US$ 300 or Rs. 19,600. The availability of the device outside China is not available at the moment.
