Lenovo seems all set (according to our sources) to launch the successor to the very successful Lenovo A6000 smartphone, as the launch of the Lenovo Vibe K5 will happen later this month in India. The Lenovo K5 is already launched in China, and it was awaiting the launch in the Indian market where there are a flurry of devices getting launched with time in the budget as well as in the low mid-range segment.
It is well known that the Lenovo A6000 was one of the very good phones in its price range, and Lenovo in March 2016 launched the Vibe K5 Plus with a Full HD display and the Snapdragon 616 processor, and the phone is available online for Rs. 8499. The K5 carries the same exterior body language with an aluminum body with the curving down corners and smooth edges for a comfortable hold.
To run through the specs, the Lenovo Vibe K5 (or the Lenovo K5) comes with a 5-inch 720p display and it is internally powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor (octa-core, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53) with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a storage expansion slot.
The camera combination of the device includes a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is a 2750 mAh battery powering the Lenovo Vibe K5, and the phone was running Android 5.1 during its launch back in February 2016, and it could probably come with Android Marshmallow when it arrives in India.
As expect for the recent Lenovo smartphones, there is Dolby Audio support for the good audio experience through headphones and the phone has 4G LTE support as well.
The recent developments from the company were the launches of Lenovo K4 Note, the ZUK Z1, as well as the Moto G4 Plus. Stay tuned for more details about the launch and the pricing. Check out the Lenovo Vibe K5 Specifications.
