Lenovo Phab 2 Pro; the world’s first Tango Enabled smartphone was introduced at the Tech World 2016 in San Francisco back in June last year, and later it was available for consumers in December 2016. Today the company has officially launched the device in India, and it is exclusively available to purchase via Flipkart for Rs.29,999.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with four rear cameras including a 16-megapixel RGB rear camera, depth camera, motion tracking camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. All these cameras take advantage of the Tango’s 3D mapping technology to better understand the world around you. Google has already mentioned that there are almost 35 apps available in Google Play Store that offer augmented reality capabilities.
Moving along, the Phab 2 Pro sports a 6.4-inches Quad HD (2560 × 1440 pixels) 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC clocked at 1.8Ghz Octa-Core processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Phab 2 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
In the camera department, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro packs a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, Depth Sensor and Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size. It features a Fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos sound with 5.1 audio capture, Triple Array Microphones with Active Noise-Cancellation. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. A 4050mAh battery is on board with fast charging support.
With these unique cameras, price seems reasonable! But it’s too early to have such a phone. Anyway It will open doors to many things AG!
