Lenovo India has launched its successor to the P1 smartphone in India, as the Lenovo P2 goes official with a massive 5100 mAh battery. The smartphone is launched exclusively on Flipkart and it is priced at Rs. 16999 for the 3GB RAM variant but Rs. 17999 for 4GB variant. Even though the large capacity battery, the smartphone is quite sleek and with the full-metal unibody design, the Lenovo P2 has a strong build.
The Lenovo P2 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Vibe UI layered over it. Internally, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 true octa-core processor clocking at 2.0 GHz and variants based on RAM are available, with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. The storage on both the variants is 32GB with a MicroSD card slot allowing for the storage expansion by a further 128GB. For the security, the P2 comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front.
As for the camera combination, it won’t look any attractive given how the other brands have been focusing a lot on this aspect, but nevertheless, you are going to get a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Phase detection autofocus and Sony sensor allowing Full HD video recording, and on the front is a 5-megapixel camera with fixed focus. For the connectivity, the Lenovo P2 has dual nano SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity (with VoLTE support), and the other standard options including Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and FM radio are present.
The phone comes with the sensors including Vibration, Gravitation, Proximity, Light, Gyroscope (Accelerator), Magnetometer (e-Compass), and it has the MicroUSB connectivity to charge the device or for file transfers from or to the PC.
The important feature of the device, i.e. its battery has a capacity of 5100 mAh and it is a non-removable battery, which according the company offers up to 78.69 hours of talk time on a single charge on 4G network, and is also capable of giving 32 days of standby time on 4G connectivity. The 24W rapid charger included with the device is said to be giving about 10 hours of usage with just 15 minutes of charge. With the availability of reverse charging, the Lenovo P2 can charge the other phones around as well.
