Lenovo India is bringing the new smartphone under the K series with the K8 Note scheduled to launch on August 9th at an event to be held in New Delhi. Amazon India has been teasing the device on its store and it clearly mentions that the smartphone is going to be available exclusively on Amazon India.
The Lenovo K8 Note is said to be coming with a Full HD display and mostly with the same screen size as its predecessors and it is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, unlike the Snapdragon chipset that powered the Lenovo K6 Note. The reports also say that the K8 Note will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and Lenovo is probably skipping the Vibe UI to bring the stock Android interface.
The hashtag on Twitter #KilltheOrdinaryClicks also seem to claim that the imaging has become better on the Lenovo K8 Note, and we could see an upgrade for both the back and front cameras. It could also mean that the phablet will be coming with a dual-lens camera, which has become a regular affair.
Having the stock Android interface means you get all the latest features of Android on the device and the users are now finally going to see off the laggy and buggy Vibe interface that Lenovo had used for generations. Since the phone is not yet launched in the other markets, we don’t know much about the upcoming smartphone and will have to wait for the phone to get officially launched.
Also, interestingly, we see the company ignoring the K7 moniker as it chooses to directly launch the K8 Note. Now, the launch is scheduled to be held on August 9th and we will be updating live from the event, so stay tuned.
