Almost three months after being available in China, Lenovo has finally launched their latest budget smartphone, the Lenovo A5, today, in India. The A5 comes with a MediaTek SOC and an 18:9 display.

The Lenovo A5 sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. As mentioned earlier the screen has an 18:9 aspect ratio and does not feature any notch. Powering the phone is a MediaTek 6739 SOC with PowerVR GE 8100 GPU. It comes with 3 GB RAM and either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Lenovo Zuk’s ZUI 3.9 on top.
The Lenovo A5 features a single 13 MP rear-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture which can record videos at a maximum resolution of 720p 30fps. To the front, the phone comes with an 8 MP selfie camera which has a f/2.2 aperture.
Fueling the smartphone is a massive 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery. For connectivity, the phone offers 4G VoLTE, 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE and GPS with A-GPS. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for securing the phone.

The Lenovo A5 comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The phone goes for INR 5,999 for the 16 GB storage variant, while the 32 GB storage variant will be available for INR 6,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart, starting October 18, 2018.
