The LeEco Le 2 was launched in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset and there is nothing else different from the variant being sold in China. The Le 2 comes with a Full HD display with a 5.5-inch screen size, while the other specifications of the phone include a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
While the LeEco Le 2 also comes with an upgraded combination of cameras, there are other good smartphones in the same price range having good cameras, namely the Moto G4 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, etc. For every smartphone, there are some advantages and disadvantages, and in the guide below, we will list out the main ones for the LeEco Le 2 smartphone.

LeEco Le 2 Pros and Cons
Pros
A good build quality – Just like the Le 1s was, even better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the Le 2 maintains that and continues the legacy of having a strong and good build with a metal body. The unibody design, premium finish and also not being very thick adds to the overall comfort.
Good performance – With the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, the Le 2 has been doing well with not just the gaming performance, but also with any intensive task. The 3GB of RAM has been managing quite a good number of apps for multitasking.
Content – LeEco Membership is surely a great deal. You are getting a list of services, content, live TV, music, and movies for free for a year. Apart from this content, the Membership also will have the Le Cloud storage service that is going to be a 5TB storage for free for the same time.
Quick Charging – Not just a good battery life, but users would also want a provision where the battery charges faster too. The LeEco Le 2 has the support for Quick Charge 2.0, which helps charge the phone by about 50% in just 30 minutes, which is a good addition to the list of good things about the phone.
CDLA technology – Tried and tested, the CDLA technology does offer some higher quality audio output. It is using the USB Type-C connectivity and the special CDLA headphones and the audio quality is quite superior when compared to the 3.5mm output standard.
Cons
The same CDLA technology – Thanks to this technology, now, there is no 3.5mm jack. This leads to the Type-C port being used for music as well as for charging. It creates a lot of problems and one cannot use the headphones all the time. Also, not every headphone can produce the same audio output. So, you will have to shell out the extra cash for the CDLA headphones.
Fixed storage – 32GB is the internal storage provided on the device and out of which a few GBs are already used by the system. LeEco has never offered a MicroSD card slot on any of their devices and this is no exception as the Le 2 comes with a fixed internal storage and no option of expansion. This creates problems in long-term usage when you have to keep clearing out space for content.
Heating issues – One might argue that there are issues on every phone having a metal body and that is true, but it still is a problem that not everyone can easily adjust to. So if you are thinking to buy this phone, also keep in mind that there might be some heating on excessive gaming or camera usage.
Shaky video recording – The 16-megapixel camera on the back of the Le 2 does a decent job with the image captures, but when it comes to video recording there is quite a lot of shaking noticed. One cannot expect OIS in the device for that price, but still, the software should’ve done better.

Problems with LeEco Le 2
One of the main issues right now with the phone that we have experienced is only with the heating of the unit. The phone got excessively heated while gaming and also while using the camera for a good amount of time.
For now, there are no other big problems noticed with the phone except the fact that not all the LeEco Membership features are offered to the users because some will be coming later this year.
I read other reviews of Le 2 and many of didn’t notice any Heating issue not even when playing heavy games. Its only this website where I am reading about serious heating issues.
