The Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has launched their latest camera-centric smartphone called the Lava V5 4G LTE. The smartphone has been aimed to give users great camera and photography experience at an affordable price range. It comes with Samsung ISOCELL sensor to give great camera experience priced at ₹ 11,499.
The Lava V5 4G LTE comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display having a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek 6753 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable using microSD card up to 32 GB.
The smartphone is said be a camera oriented device and true to its tag it comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and Largan 5P lens along with the Samsung 3M2 ISOCELL sensor. To make your photography Experience more exciting, the Lava V5 comes with PDAF, which is Phase detection Autofocus which lets you focus on any object in just 0.18 seconds, which is quite impressive for a smartphone in its price range.
The device comes with a decent front facing camera as well which is an 8MP shooter having f/2.2 aperture and making it easy to take those group shots to fit everyone in with the 84-degree wide angle shots. It also comes with software enhancements like Magic pix which has modes like Beauti-fy, Pic Focus (helps in focussing on an object and blurring the surroundings), intelligent selfie, wide selfie (panorama mode), night pro, multi-angle view and it also lets you make GIF (not sure if its true GIF or a short video).
The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop which is said to receive the Marshmallow update. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Navin Chawla, CEO, Lava International limited, said, “The growth in smartphone industry in India is being driven primarily by youth. With smartphones becoming an indispensable part of their lives, the camera becomes so much more important. Smartphones are now their primary camera devices. They want to capture life on the go and this device allows them to do exactly that and captures perfect shots”
The Indian smartphone makers are working on improving their presence in the 4G market with Lava announcing 7-8 4G enabled smartphones in the first quarter of 2016. Even Micromax is planning to revamp their 4G enabled devices segment with new devices.
The Lava V5 4G LTE is priced at a competitive Rs. 11,499 and available exclusively on eBay India, it will be available at offline retail stores shortly.
