In a bid to offer a better choice in terms of battery capacity and connectivity in the budget range, Karbonn, the Indian smartphone brand has launched the Karbonn Aura Power smartphone in India. The Aura Power has a 5-inch display (resolution unknown) and the phone is being offered at a price of Rs. 5990.
Internally, the Karbonn Aura Power is powered by a 1.0GHz Quad-Core processor and there is 1GB RAM supporting the multitasking. While there is 8GB internal storage provided in the device, the device also has a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion by a further 64GB.
There is an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with autofocus and LED flash, and on the front is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This is a Dual SIM phone and it has all the standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G LTE. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and there is support for FM Radio.
One of the features the phone will boast of is the 4000 mAh battery capacity. It is a non-removable Li-polymer battery. Alongside the 4G LTE, there is support for VoLTE as well. The device comes in champagne and ark-blue-champagne color options, and the price is set at Rs. 5990.
At around that price, there are several competitive devices launched in the recent times by brands like Micromax, Swipe, Coolpad, etc., and if you are on a hunt for a decent budget smartphone, do check out for features like fingerprint scanner as well, which is now becoming a feature present in the budget devices as well, though the Karbonn Aura Power has a much higher battery capacity than the others in the competition.
