First reported by MySmartPrice, iQOO is what we are looking at as the sub-brand from Vivo, the company’s answer to OPPO’s Realme, which has grown at a pace for bringing good spec-to-price devices. Though there is nothing officially mentioned by the company, there are some signs of it already and might see things getting real in no time.
In the recent times, we’ve seen such steps taken by several brands, for example, Realme, Honor, and POCO being born out of the parent companies and having their own strategy of sales and marketing and being quite aggressive with the pricing. Vivo was rumoured to be working on something similar and here we finally see it. Also, it isn’t a coincidence that the parent company has been seen commenting on posts where iQOO was mentioned on the popular Chinese microblogging site Weibo.
There won’t be any surprise if Vivo is going to bring this brand to the Chinese and Indian markets only to compete with the likes of Realme, Xiaomi, and ASUS, as the parent company has been actively doing well in the upper mid-range segment and the flagship range with phones like the V-series and Vivo Nex.
The domain name iqoo.com is also registered under vivo Mobile Communication co. Ltd. making it even more obvious about the brand name and its identity to enter the market anytime in the future.
