Intex has launched their latest smartphone in the Aqua series, the Intex Aqua Twist and it does come with a twist. The smartphone sports a rotating rear camera that acts as a front camera as well. The rotating camera module comes with LED flash built into it. Earlier we saw smartphones with similar rotating cameras but none at this price range which makes it one of the cheapest smartphones sporting a rotating camera.
Other smartphones sporting similar Rotating camera are the Oppo N1 and N3, Huawei Honor 7i and the Gionee E7 Mini was sporting a Swivel camera. The Intex Aqua Twist sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor with Mali-400MP2 GPU.

The smartphone comes with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage space with expandable memory using microSD card. The main feature of the Aqua Twist is the Rotating camera which carries the similar design as the Honor 7i where the camera can be lifted and rotated to face the front side as well, making it a front and rear facing camera. The 5MP rotating camera comes with OmniVision OV5648 sensor and LED flash inbuilt into the rotating arm so that even the front captures can be taken with LED flash.
The device comes with connectivity features like 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, it supports Dual SIM and runs on Android v5.1 Lollipop OS. The Aqua Twist is powered by a 2200mAh battery.
The Intex Aqua Twist is available in Black and White colors and the MRP is Rs. 5199 and it is being sold at Rs. 4,999 through Homeshop 18. There is another device which was announced along with the Aqua twist, the Intex Cloud Force which is also an entry level smartphone by the company.
