After a month’s wait, Huawei has finally launched their new smartphone, the Huawei P20 Lite in India today, at an event in New Delhi. The phone comes with a trendy notch design and glass back and comes with a few differences/changes from the global model.
The P20 Lite has an iPhone X-like notch on the front and has a 5.84 inch IPS FHD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels The display has a 19.9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Huawei’s homegrown Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset underneath with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU which is coupled with 3 GB RAM/ 4 GB of RAM. It comes with either 32 GB internal storage/ 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 256 GB via a MicroSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Huawei’s EMUI 8.0 on top.
On the rear, the Huawei P20 Lite has an iPhone X like vertical camera placement on the back. It comes with a dual camera setup on the back and with a 16 MP main camera with an F/2.2 aperture and 2 MP depth sensing secondary camera for the portrait shots. It also has a 24 MP selfie camera for all the selfie fanatics, which is housed in the front notch.
The P20 Lite features fingerprint sensor on the back. It has 3000mAh battery which supports fast charging. The phone has 3.5mm headphone jack and a Type-C port for charging, at the bottom. It also supports face unlock using the front-facing camera. The phone comes with 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS BDS for connectivity.
Pricing & Availabilty
The P20 Lite will come in 3 colours – Klein Blue, Sakura Pink, Midnight Black and the price is set at INR 19999. The phone will be available to purchase from 3rd May on Amazon India, which is their exclusive online partner.
