Huawei has launched their latest smartphone in the Chinese market under the Mate series called Mate 8. The Huawei Mate 8 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with Emotion UI 4.0 over it. The device is designed to be sturdy and pleasing to eye as well with aerospace-grade aluminum and unique 2.5D curved diamond cut glass.
The Mate 8 comes with a 6-inch fullHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution having 2.5D glass, it comes with screen-to-body ratio of 83% with 2.7mm ultra narrow frame. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 950 processor with Mali T880 GPU having 2.3GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x ARM Cortex A53.

It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box along with Emotion UI 4.0 over it. It sports a 16MP rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAf, dual tone LED flash and 8MP front facing camera. The Fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of the device below the camera module, it is circular in shape and the company says this increases the area by 10% compared to square. It comes with chip-level encryption and SD card lock to give more protection for the phone.
It comes with Dual SIM slot with 4G LTE connectivity and support for voLTE along with second SIM acting as a hybrid to support microSD card slot as well. Other connectivity features are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS.
The Huawei Mate 8 is available in Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown colors. It is available in China and will be available in different variants.

The Huawei Mate 8 will be available in China, the global release of the smartphone is scheduled for CES 2016 and the availability in other markets will begin from first Quater of 2016.
