HTC has launched their latest Flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 after a series of leaks which revealed the design of the device. HTC has taken away the ‘M’ from their Flagships and has named it as just HTC 10. The device comes with pretty interesting design made out of metal. The device will take on the other Flagship devices which have been launched this year like the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, LG G5 and Xiaomi Mi 5. HTC has also announced a toned down variant of the HTC 10 called the HTC 10 Lifestyle which comes with Snapdragon 652 SoC and 3GB of RAM along with USB 2.0 Type-C port, with rest of the features being same as the HTC 10.
Super LCD 5 Quad HD display: The device comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution having 564 ppi pixel density. The display is quite crisp and can compete with other Flagship devices . The device also comes with Curve edge Gorilla Glass for additional protection.
Snapdragon 820 SoC: This is the most powerful Processor out in the market and the HTC 10 has it, with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor giving excellent performance. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and has 32/64GB internal storage variants expandable up to 2TB using microSD card. The device also comes with Boost+ which helps in managing Apps to make sure that the performance is smooth without any lag or more power usage.
Fingerprint sensor: It comes with a Fingerprint Sensor in the Home button below the display. It is said to unlock your device in just 0.2 seconds which is pretty quick. The Fingerprint sensor will recognise your finger from any angle, the front placement of the sensor helps in unlocking the device without lifting it off the table.
USB Type C: It comes with USB 3.0 Type-C port to help in faster transfer and also supports Quick Charge 3.0 to help charge the device faster.
HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition: HTC 10 features the world’s first stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording, capturing 256 times more detail than standard recordings, across twice the frequency range. The device comes with a headphone amp which delivers two times the power of a conventional headphone amp. It comes with the ability to upscale from 16-bit to 24-bit audio and digital to analog conversion is available to give the best audio.
HTC UltraPixel 2 with Laser Autofocus: The device comes with 12 Ultra Pixel rear camera with laser Autofocus which helps in faster and accurate Focus. The camera comes with Sapphire lens over it and is capable of recording slo-motion videos in 720p resolution at 120fps and also records 4K videos having high-resolution Audio thanks to the BoomSound feature.
OIS in both cameras: The device comes with 12MP Ultrapixel 2 camera and a 5MP autofocus camera both of which has Optical Image Stabilisation making it one of the first in the world to sport OIS in the front camera as well.
microSD card Slot: The device comes with 32GB and 64GB internal storage options and has the option to expand up to an impressive 2TB using microSDXC card.
