Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand is taking a cue from its parent company and introducing a dual camera set up sporting smartphone next month called Honor V8. The camera set-up was first seen in Huawei flagship device, P9. The dual camera setup was teased in a photo posted on Honor’s Weibo account.
In the poster the launch date of the device has been revealed as 10th May, 2016. There are no other details revealed about the device apart from the dual camera set up which can be seen in the image shown as 8.
Based on rumors the device is said to sport a Kirin 950 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Huawei P9 sports dual camera set up with dual 12MP sensors by Leica optics positioned side by side. The Honor V8 is also expected to sport the same Camera set up. The Honor 8 is said to be the successor of the Honor 7. The company will be launching Honor 5C smartphone on April 28th some day ahead of the Honor V8 launch which is scheduled on May 10th in China.
The specifications of the Honor 5C have been revealed ahead of the launch. It comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080 x 1920 display along with a Kirin 650 64-bit octa-core processor coupled by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. It sports a 13MP rear camera coupled with 8MP front facing camera. It will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Huawei Emotion UI.
