Huawei has launched the Honor 6X smartphone in India with the dual-lens rear camera setup. The smartphone that was recently introduced at the CES 2017 event in Las Vegas is not taking a long time before getting into the competitive Indian market, but the device has enough to take on the likes of Redmi Note 4 and Coolpad Cool1 Dual.
The Honor 6X has a metal unibody design with the curved and smooth corners on the back unlike the polycarbonate back plate offered on the Honor 5x. The change in design is more so to match the competition that is full of solid metal designs and comfort offered while using the phone for long hours. It is a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080p display on the front and the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 version, the custom interface from the company. The company also mentions about the plans to upgrade the phone to Android 7.0 Nougat OS soon.
The phone comes powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz, and there are variants having different RAM and storage options. The phone has a hybrid SIM card slot where you can either have a SIM card or a MicroSD card for the storage expansion.
Camera lovers can expect a lot from the device as the Honor 6X has a dual-lens rear camera setup in which, the primary one has a 12-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor is also provided. The former has an RGB sensor to record the color accuracy while the latter comes with a monochrome sensor to capture the details in the picture, and these two work together in offering the bokeh effect as well. On the front, the Honor 6X has an 8-megapixel camera.
The Honor 6X has a 3340 mAh battery that is said to offer a day’s heavy usage, and the battery also supports fast charging. The price for 3GB RAM variant is Rs. 12999, while there is also a 4GB RAM variant, with a price set at Rs. 15999 and it comes with 64GB storage.
