Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is said to launch its next flagship, Honor 10, on May 15 at a launch event which is to be held in London. A new leak of the yet to be released smartphone has given away details about the phone’s design and specifications.
According to a new leak, the official banner of the Honor 10 was leaked showing the design and appearance of the smartphone which was held by the Chinese Actor/Sing Hu Ge. The phone’s design on the back is reminiscent of the recently released Huawei P20 smartphone, which featured a a glossy Twilight finished 3D back panel. The phone will also have a horizontal camera setup. The photo also tells us that the phone wont feature a rear mounted fingerprint scanner like the last year’s flagship from Honor, the Honor 8 Pro.
While the design of the phone got leaked from the banner, the phone’s specifications got leaked on a poster that was in an Electronics store, in China. The poster read that the Honor 10 will powered by Huawei’s homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset paired with 6 GB of RAM. The phone is said to come with up to 256 GB of internal storage and features a 5.8 inch display with upto 100% screen-to-body ratio, which to be honest isn’t possible,as of now. For context, the only smartphone with the highest screen-to-body ratio that was showcased, is the Vivo APEX FullView that has a crazy 98% screen-to-body ratio, which itself was a concept phone to begin with.
The phone is also said to feature a notch on the front that houses a camera and sensors and chin at the bottom which should house the fingerprint scanner. The phone is also said to come with AI capabilities in camera and interface, similar to what we saw on the recently launched Honor View 10. The London event invites come with a caption written on them, which reads, “Beauty in AI”.
Good news for smartphone livers, thanks
