The Chinese manufacturer, Gionee has launched its latest budget smartphone in India, the Pioneer P3S which is a successor of the Pioneer P3 model. The Pioneer P3S is released in a competitive price point where devices like Redmi 2, A2010, YU Yunique, Moto E etc are already competing against each other.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Timir Baran Acharya, GM, Gionee India said,
“The latest offering Pioneer P3S is one of its kind device which packs stunning looks with powerful technology and is yet affordable. P3S ensures that consumers don’t have to compromise on quality and features over pricing.”
The Pioneer P3S comes with a 4.5 FWVGA display with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM support and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded using microSD card up to 32GB. The Pioneer P3S sports a 5MP rear camera and o.3MP front facing camera which can hardly be seen in any smartphones these days. It runs on Android 5.1 OS with Amigo 3.1 over it.
On the Connectivity front, it comes with 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB support. The device is powered by a 2000mAh battery with Extreme mode which the company says will increase the battery life for 10% more time.

The Pioneer P3S is available in four colors of white, grey, golden and red. It is priced at Rs. 5,999 and will be available in Offline and Online stores. With the very competitive price range where devices like YU Yunique, Phicomm Energy 653 and Lenovo A2010 in similar price range offering better specs and 4G connectivity as well, the Pioneer P3S hardly stands any chance against these devices.
