It is a six-element lens made of sapphire glass, and there is Optical image stabilization also included. The camera supports 4K video recording, and it has a Dual-tone flash support and phase detection autofocus. One the front is a 8-megapixel camera.
The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back, which is said to be a biological one. The Elife E8 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.1 OS, which has been the standard modified Android interface from Gionee.
The pricing is not known yet, but this won’t be coming with a price below Rs. 30,000, as the conversion takes it well over Rs. 37000 when taking the Chinese price into consideration. We’ll get to know about it on October 8th.
Recently, Gionee announced that it is investing $50 million with Dixon and Foxconn for manufacturing products in India, though the Elife E8 might still be imported from China.
