Some of the most leaked flagships are generally from Apple and Samsung, in an unusual leak we find the spec sheet of what could supposedly be the of the HTC U12. This was leaked by a Russian journalist and gives us an idea of what the HTC U11 successor could house.
This information was shared on the twitter account of the user and the spec sheet suggests the presence of the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 845 SoC and the device is touted to be unveiled in the Taiwan 5G conference this year. The HTC U12 had previously been spotted demonstrating 5G speeds of up to 1.2Gbps. The device spec sheets claim the device to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and be paired with 6GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is expected to be 128GB and the device comes with a 6-inch Super LD panel with a QuadHD+ resolution having an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The rear camera is expected to be a 12MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the rear and a single 12MP sensor for the front. The information available doesn’t give us many details and we will still have to wait a little longer for more details. The HTC U12 is expected to be powered by a 3980mAh battery which is pretty big even for HTC standards. The device will come with the dust and water-resistant certification and have dual SIM support. The chipset on the HTC U12 comes with X20 LTE modem which acknowledges the 5G support. The device might also come with the squeeze feature that was seen on the HTC U11 and the Pixel 2 series devices.
The device will run on the Sense 10 software that is based on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and the pricing according to the tipster is expected to be at $880. The only other major leak was at the 5G conference where the device was wrapped in a case and didn’t give us many details on the design or other aspects of the device.
